Happy Monday, loves! I am post-thesis and feeling good like Nina Simone, y’all. And, as if on cue, spring seems to have finally sprung! Similarly to the weather, I’m in a personal season of transition and my new mantra is to Enjoy the process. I’m not going to lie: that is incredibly difficult for me, at times. But if this outfit says anything, it’s that I plan to face it all with my signature love of color and boyish style.
If you’ve been reading the site for a while, you’re probably familiar with my love of outerwear. Shoes and outerwear are easily my favorite categories. Sweaters, vests, blazers, jackets, and coats are the stuff that my sartorial dreams are made of and this coat just may be Captain Dreamcatcher. I scored it at a J. Crew sample sale a little over a year ago and its beautiful cherry hue has earned it a year-round spot in my closet (Yes, it will still be hanging there in the summer—it’s nice to look at even when I can’t wear it).

On “You Haven’t Done Nothin'” – Stevie Wonder: Stevie is always relevant. He’s one of the best musicians to ever live. But the political message of this song is uncannily relevant today. Keep your eyes open in regard to what’s happening around us, folks. We need to be aware.
