Happy Monday, loves! I’ve been away from the site for a while and I am so excited to be back! So, first things first: no, I didn’t cut my hair. Well, I did get a trim to clean up the ends, but its shorter appearance is due to shrinkage from wearing a wash-and-go for a few days. For reference, here’s my hair in its non-shrunken state.
Today’s outfit is from a few weeks ago, just as the cooler temps were starting to hit the city. As one who is partial to cold weather, I’m very happy about the layering possibilities that I’ve been confronted with during the past month. With that being said, however, I recognize that we’ll probably be in for another long, blustery one here on the east coast. Ah, well. That’s what beautiful coats, sweaters, and scarves are for, right? And according to this week’s forecast, I’ll have to account for some snow when I pack up for my Thanksgiving travel. It’s crazy how quickly the holidays have arrived! But this is, without a doubt, my favorite time of year and I’m looking forward to bringing you all some fresh content this season. Stay tuned to this space—I’m excited to begin some new conversations and take The Fashionesta to some new places in the near-future.

On “You Send Me” – Sam Cooke: The holidays are here. I’m cuddled up with a hot, salted caramel mocha. As you get cozy in front of the proverbial fireplace—or actual fireplace, if you’re ballin’ out like that—allow Sam Cooke to be the soundtrack of the mood. Enjoy.
